Ten years. Danico, the hidden bar behind Daroco on rue Vivienne, is marking the occasion in its own way: by bringing back thirty cocktails from its archives. A celebratory menu designed like a travel log, available until August 31, 2026.
Ten years, ten chapters, thirty cocktails
The principle is simple. Danico's anniversary menu covers each year since its opening in 2016 in the form of a distinct chapter, presented in three creations. In total, thirty cocktails are making a comeback for the summer.
The menu's mechanism operates on two levels. For each year, two cocktails are offered in limited edition, with a unit counter displayed. In other words: first come, first served. The third creation of each chapter, however, remains available all summer without stock limitations.
Cocktails to watch
Among the limited editions, the Alligator c'est vert is making a notable return. A pandan cocktail, a favorite ingredient of Nico de Soto and a favorite of Alexandre Giesbert, the bar's co-founder, it's an exotic egg nog based on absinthe, pandan, and coconut milk. The kind of creation you tend to regret once it's sold out.
As a common thread throughout the summer, three cocktails perfectly illustrate the establishment's direction. The Kota Ternate, a clarified reinterpretation of the Piña Colada. The Mirror Selfie, the first cocktail signed by Corentin Gaudin, now in charge of the bar: a sparkling grapefruit-tarragon highball. And the Krakatoa, a clarified cocktail from the first Danico Xplorer Indonesia menu, an interpretation of rujak, a local dish based on fruit and spicy sauce.
Danico in 2026: A Record That Speaks for Itself
The bar opened its doors in 2016 on the initiative of Nico de Soto. Since 2023, the team led by Corentin Gaudin has been deploying the Danico Xplorer series, menus built around travels and ingredients brought back from the field. An approach that today positions Danico at 30th place in the World's 50 Best Bars and 17th place in the Top 500 Bars.
In 2026, the bar clinched the title of Best Cocktail Menu and the People's Choice at the Bartenders' Choice Awards France, while also being listed in the Top 10 of the World's Best Cocktail Menu at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards. These results provide context for this summer's theme: it's not gratuitous nostalgia, but a mapping of ten years of work.
