The cocktail world was shaken on November 10th in Florence. In the sumptuous Palazzo Borghese, a neoclassical setting worthy of a Fellini film, the grand ceremony Top 500 Bars 2025 took place, finally revealing the highly anticipated ranking of the 100 best bars in the world. The verdict: it is Panda & Sons, in Edinburgh, that snatches the first place and becomes the most influential bar on the planet.
A beautiful victory for Scotland, but our French bars have not said their last word.
Paris, the (also) capital of cocktails
The Hexagon confirms its status as a land of inspired bartenders. No fewer than six French bars (in Paris) are featured in the Top 100 worldwide, including three in the Top 20:
- The Cambridge Public House (14th), an English bar in spirit but 100% Parisian at heart,
- Danico (17th), the chic speakeasy hidden behind the trattoria Daroco,
- Bar Nouveau (18th), the new star of the mixology scene, a tribute to Art Nouveau.
And that's not all: Harry's Bar (60th), Moonshiner (81st), Candelaria (84th), and Bar De Vie (93rd) proudly complete the French selection. In other words, Paris remains an unmissable destination for any lover of good drinks and a cozy atmosphere.
The bar, a new cultural playground
The 2025 ranking also rewards establishments from new cities: Medellin, Abu Dhabi, Montevideo, and Pune. These are sometimes unexpected locations but they prove one thing: the cocktail now knows no borders.
