There are certain things that take time to come to fruition. The alcohol-free Margarita, the virgin Cosmopolitan, the sober White Lady – so many great classics that have long called for a Triple Sec without alcohol to match their stature. This is now a reality: Giffard is launching its Triple Sec Non-Alcoholic, and the Angers-based company has not done things by halves.

The Schrub Technique in Service of No-Low

What makes this product interesting is its process. Rather than just lazily mimicking a liqueur by simply removing the alcohol, Giffard drew inspiration from the schrub technique, an ancient method that involves macerating fruits in vinegar to extract their aromas. Here, bitter oranges and sweet orange peels take the bath, in wine vinegar. The result: a citrusy liveliness and intensity that holds its own, with a long and smooth finish that doesn't feel cheap.

This is exactly what bartenders have been waiting for: a serious working tool to build no/low alternatives to the most ordered cocktails, without compromising on taste structure.

Giffard Triple Sec Non-Alcoholic

A Format Designed for the HoReCa Sector

Available in a 70 cl bottle exclusively through the HoReCa network, Giffard's Triple Sec Non-Alcoholic is part of an already well-established non-alcoholic range from the house: Pink Grapefruit, Elderflower, Pineapple, Ginger, Spritz… The Angers-based liquor producer is patiently building its no-low arsenal, reference by reference.

Two signature recipes accompany the launch. The ¡Hola Margarita!, which plays the low-alc card by combining 3 cl of Alcohol-Free Triple Sec with 4.5 cl of tequila, a dash of agave syrup, and lime juice, for those who want to keep a little thrill in their glass.

And the Tampoco Alcohol-Free, a more aperitif-style long drink, built around Giffard Aperitif Bitter topped with sparkling water, with 2 cl of the new Triple Sec for support.

Good timing

The launch comes at the perfect time. The no/low segment is exploding in bars, and customer demand for credible alternatives to the great classics has never been stronger. Until now, Triple Sec was a blind spot in the non-alcoholic market. That is no longer the case.
