At a time when bars compete in ingenuity to sell you drinks with lengthy names and homemade infused syrups, Calvados wants to appeal to the general public with a surprisingly simple cocktail. Something tasty, light, that you can make at home without going into debt for three generations. The idea behind this cocktail? Maximum accessibility.

The Calva Limo

Why lemonade? Because it brings more roundness than tonic. Less dry, more agreeable, more festive for year-end celebrations. So yes, obviously, tastes and colors... There will always be the tonic enthusiasts, the purists, the "I drink it neat or not at all" crowd. Good for them. But lemonade has an undeniable advantage: it's found everywhere. Artisanal in the local gourmet shop, or a store brand that does the job for €1.10 a bottle.

And for a drink intended to be made by everyone at home, that's a detail that matters!

A Festive Cocktail That Impresses (Without Breaking the Bank)

As the New Year's Eve celebrations approach, expenses quickly add up: gifts, turkey, decorations, Uber home... So offering a drink that is attractive, inexpensive, and festive is almost a public service.

The average cost per glass? According to classic retail price estimates, between €1.20 and €1.60 if you make it at home. At a time when some cocktails exceed €16 in Paris brasseries, it's almost a militant gesture.

Aesthetics, always aesthetics

Because IDAC likes to do things right, this year they have again signed a top-notch advertising campaign: the photography, the bold typography, and everything that makes a striking campaign: the lighting, the textures, the ultra-polished staging signed by Camille Legrand; the meticulously crafted graphic compositions by Murmure.

Result: a simple drink, but one that clearly has the look of an evening cocktail.

A campaign that travels in Normandy... and beyond

The campaign is visible in Paris, Lille, Caen, and more broadly across Normandy until the end of December.

Enough to make, we hope, a few thousand curious people want to raise a glass and try this made-in-France drink at home.
